About
I've spent my career in entrepreneurship and product. I started a company in college, Athleague, and spent almost 5 years making lots of mistakes before we got acquired - and learning how to create great products. Since then, I've founded another company (a meditation app called Awaken) and led Product teams at a number of industry-leading companies. I'm currently working on Ample, an AI cloud infrastructure startup that helps agentic coders more easily deploy their creations to the internet. I'm also a Zen Buddhist and have been practicing meditation since 2008. I formally study and train with Zen Mountain Monastery in New York, and I wrote a book about my experiences training in Zen and navigating work and life called Vow of Aliveness: Saying Yes to the Mess and Magic of a True Life.

Since the dawn of the internet, product teams have had to worry about two things: 1) building their product and 2) deploying it to the internet and keeping it there. We're using fleets of hosting agents and dynamically and custom constructed cloud infrastructure to take that second item off the tables (and minds) of any product team building any product on the internet. We're calling it the Autonomous Cloud. YCombinator Fall 2026 batch.

Typical engagements take the form of interim (6-9 months) Head of Product roles at early stage startups (5-50 employees) to set product direction, establish customer-first product culture, and hit relevant milestones to unlock the startup’s next fundraising goals. These engagements are described in detail below. I also serve as a Lead Instructor for Product Management courses at Product School.

Given how much time and energy is spent trying to build communities online, I decided to take an extended trip and focus on learning about community as it manifests in the world – what role it plays in people’s lives, how it’s created and sustained (rituals, customs, culture, etc.), and which aspects of it are unique to a particular locale and which are universal. Locations were chosen to visit areas that had some of the strongest communities - places where cultures and rituals were most widespread across society. Also spent 1 month in silent retreat at Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Ladakh (Tibetan portion of India).
