I'm a technical lead known for bringing clarity and compassion to both technical and non-technical challenges. Lately I've been helping CIOs and other municipal and state leaders navigate agentic AI's impact on public services. This involves community organizing in Boston and coordinating efforts across Boston, Milan, Charlotte, and India.By background, I build up the engineering teams I work with to deliver great customer value and be some of the best places to work in the world. For the last decade I've developed tools to make it easier for people to make software that meets their needs, with customers ranging from professional engineers to those who've never written a line of code.I've built software products and research for non-profit AI safety, defense, and consumer productivity sectors. For instance, I co-led the software development and usability of the STITCHES systems-integration toolchain, one of DARPA's biggest achievements of the past decade. (DARPA has a $4B/yr budget and is among the world's highest-impact government research agencies.)
