Dr. Chowdhury is serving as the Vice-Chancellor of North South University (NSU), and Chairman and Director of Grameen Bank, a Nobel Winning Bank since September 2024. He also served as Primeasia University's Vice-Chancellor and Eastern University's Pro-Vice-Chancellor. His prior roles include Professor positions at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) since 2014, Executive Director of External Relations, Dean of the SBE, Director of the BBA Program, Member of the Syndicate, and Director of the Career Services at NSU. Boasting 36 years of teaching and research experience, he has worked with esteemed institutions in Bangladesh, Canada, the USA, and China. His international faculty roles include positions at the University of Windsor, Canada, Northeastern University, USA, University of Calgary, Canada, and the Islamic University, a public university in Bangladesh. He also worked as a visiting Professor at the School of Economics and Management at Yunnan Normal University, China.
