About
Hi! I’m Angel Gunaman, an engineer, researcher, and product builder from Bandung, Indonesia. I’m studying Mechanical Engineering at Stanford, where I focus on hardware systems, product realization, and Management Science & Engineering. Over the years I’ve worked on a wide range of projects: from building navigation systems for lunar rovers at Stanford’s NAVLab, to engineering thermocouple transmitter systems for high-temperature reactors, to studying concussions in the Camarillo Biomechanics Lab, and improving city infrastructure as an engineering intern in Foster City. I also started an EdTech nonprofit in Indonesia to help more students access STEM education. Lately I’ve been especially interested in designing motorsport vehicle components, creating mockups, running tests, and exploring how engineering decisions affect performance and reliability. What drives me is building hardware that works and lasts. Whether it’s a sensing system, a prototype, or a city project, I care about engineering that makes a difference. Right now I’m especially excited about hardware design, autonomous systems, and motorsports. I’m always learning and looking for new ways to grow.
