I enjoy building software that makes a difference in peoples lives, and is widely used. My best and most impactful work has been focussed on consumer, marketplaces and self-serve SaaS. Past: built products in Facebook and FB Messenger, founded a venture backed company, helped build Thumbtack into a $1b+ company, pre-IPO at Twitter, and Windows product team. We focus on the early days, and talk about turning points in peoples lives, careers, and companies. Investing: I'm a Senior Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund (since Nov 2018), which is a $60m+ fund of YC alumni supporting fellow YC companies. I've led or co-led 25+ investments over the last 3 years. Most have gone on to raise a subsequent round from top funds.
