Hi, I'm Alifya (uh-lif-yah), a Community Strategist turned Community Product Engineer. Quite the squiggly journey. You see, I started my career in finance, have dipped into venture capital, have been in the founder seat myself, but most often, I've been an early operator at early stage companies. I've launched B2B creator communities from scratch — for creators with audiences of 150K+ — and have built the actual platforms those communities run on, as Head of Product at Workweek. I understand the craft of community and the technicality of shipping community software. The intersection of community craft, the business of community, and the technology it takes to power it is where I thrive. Building the surfaces for humans to connect and helping people be the reason a genuine relationship is built, brings me the most joy. I've been in roles where community IS the whole business model, at brands where community is their winning strategy, and at companies where community became the core software product.
