About

I work with people I will be friends with for a lifetime. Right now I'm building a company with my best friend. From 2019-2020, I worked at Airbnb. My goal there was to empower people to build, and to improve velocity for engineers. I built air/land, air/engjobs, and awedience: three tools aimed to improving engineering velocity and communication. I also built a community called #crazy-ideas, which empowered people to share ways to make the company better. My day job was in payments: I led payments india, and ran a bunch of initiatives to improve our development environment. From 2014-2019, I worked on Wit.ai, initially as the 2nd hire as a startup, and then at Facebook through the acquisition. I revel in zero to one problems -- taking an idea, building out a team, and pushing through the journey to production. On an execution level, the kinds of people I thrive with are unafraid to do what's needed -- whether it's intense product engineering, architecting distributed systems, or picking up a few udacity courses and changing some models around. On a mindset level, I thrive with people who are optimistic about the world, who are life-long learners, and want to live life ambitiously.
