About
I spend my time in the intersection of computer science and social change. Currently, I'm at Empower building an app to help communities organize and get out the vote. In the past, I have worked at Google's education team, the fix it team at healthcare.gov, and at Nuna Health, working to make high quality health care universally affordable. I also started a Practical Unix course at Stanford and a nonprofit that helps computer science students use their skills for social change. In college, I got a BS in biocomputation and an MS in human computer interaction, giving me a breadth of different types of skills. Since graduating, I have enjoyed wearing a lot of different hats. Specialties: • Holistic view of the connection between computer science and the social good • Strong history of communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and design skills • Ability to make complicated things simple.
