About

My core goal was always to be understood, and my proclivity towards visual thinking also help me. I studied computer science engineering in Paris but gravitated towards pure data visualization over time, which lead me to creating Wikiverse, a webGL visual exploration of Wikipedia. This lead me from my masters in Paris to a fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School, where I helped created the Globe of Economic Complexity. I was then connected to Mauro Martino, my mentor of close to 10 years who brought me into IBM and fostered my talents over time. Our Visualization Lab merged into IBM's core AI efforts, as such I became a core AI visualization researcher by learning on the job. I did many projects I was proud of, yet over time I felt I should highlight work from my esteemed colleagues and forge a bridge from research to product, as such Carbon Labs was born. I also developed a method to create holographic sculptures, in order to escape purely digital art and show visualizations that can't reasonably be shared online.
