About

I am a PhD-holding hybrid experimental and computational biologist with over 10 years of academic and industry wet lab experience. I have a broad set of skills across many topics in experimental biology research including oncology, neuroscience, stem cells, assay & process development, genetic & small molecule high throughput screening, microscopy, and more. I have additionally developed bioinformatic analysis pipelines for Next Generation Sequencing using Python. My interests lie in building and assessing in vitro biological models for technology development and/or pre-clinical therapeutic development purposes. I further have significant experience in building and scaling robust discovery pipelines for genetic and small molecule therapeutic development in oncology and neuroscience associated indications. My scientific contributions include the creation and evaluation of a new stem-cell derived motor neuron model for the study of genetic contributors to ALS during my PhD. I then extended this work during my postdoctoral training to expand the model I developed to be fit to evaluate the effect of selected small molecules on ALS-associated neurodegeneration.
