I invest in deeptech at Julian.capital and I write at Julian.com. I'm fascinated by: • Scientific breakthroughs • Ranches • Hifi audio (ExtremeHiFi.com) I'm an engineer and growth marketer turned investor. I started my career as the creator and developer of Velocity.js, the animation engine used by WhatsApp, Samsung, Uber, and tens of thousands of others. I received the Stripe Open Source grant for this open source work, and later I fell in love with growth marketing as a means to get the word out about my projects. This led to my role as VP of Marketing at Webflow ($4B valuation, I was among the first 8 employees) then the founder of DemandCurve.com (a Y Combinator startup) that grew LinkedIn, Microsoft, Ancestry, Tovala, and hundreds more. On the side, I helped grow Heap Analytics, Clearbit, and Segment. Throughout, I've been writing to an audience of millions at Julian.com over the past decade, where I write guides breaking down how to master difficult skills that I'm curious to learn.
