Adept at understanding how scientific efforts are planned, financed, accomplished, impeded, reported, developed and transferred into practical technologies, including commercialization where appropriate. Exemplary change agent with the ability to analyze issues, devise continuous process improvements and incorporate process initiatives to increase efficiency. Dr. Farahani earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California (San Diego, CA), his M.D. at Ben-Gurion University (Be'er Sheva, Israel), completed a joint residency in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA), and recently completed a fellowship in Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (Pittsburgh, PA). He served as the Chief Medical Information Officer of 3Scan for over 3 years. He hopes to increase the quality of patient care by leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to both modernize, automate, and enhance the future practice of pathology.
