It's well after midnight in a double hotel room in California, and I'm deep in conversation with my brother. Just 19 years old, we're laying out a vision for a set of companies that would transform America. We took the leap later that year. I soon dropped out of college, leaving medicine and research behind, and we haven't looked back. The journey has been anything but linear.
