I'm a technical founder and operational leader who takes AI risk seriously — high p (doom), and actively doing something about it. After 15+ years building startups at the intersection of health, open-source, and applied AI — founding Crohnology (YC S12), scaling it to 15K patients, raising $4.5M, and leading product through an acquisition at DrChrono — I'm now making a deliberate pivot into AI Safety, governance, and strategy. What drew me here isn't abstract concern. It's the same execution-first instinct that's driven my career: identifying a hard problem before it becomes an emergency, and building the capacity to address it. I bring something unusual to the AI Safety space: I'm genuinely cross-disciplinary. I've done the technical work (engineering, product, AI consulting). I've done the policy work (Aspen Policy Academy Fellow; policy recommendations adopted by the City of San Francisco; briefings with Meta, federal counsel, and congressional staff). And I've done the org-building work (founding ventures, managing advisory boards, stewarding 15K-person communities).
