From the age of 15, my career has been devoted to studying, refining my skills and working in all aspects of custom tailoring. I began as a machine operator and cutter under the guidance of my uncle, Ismail Aycan, a well-known Master Tailor in Istanbul, Turkey. Following my apprenticeship, I was employed as a custom shirt-maker at Beymen Shirts in Istanbul. Arriving in Canada in 2006, I worked with Enrico Caruso in Toronto, making custom suits and pants. I then made custom-tailored pants at LB Uomo. Following that, I was employed making custom shirts at Michel Shirt Makers. From 2012 to 2014, I was the custom tailor and store manager at Lou Myles Designatore. Working with Mr. Myles, I learned many of the fine points of the craft that has made Lou the suit designer of choice for numerous show business celebrities, business giants and politicians for over 50 years. I now own and operate Erol Custom Tailor Ltd. in Toronto`s fashionable Yorkville district, where I specialize in custom-made suits, jackets, pants and shirts, catering to the wardrobe needs of a growing clientele of discerning men and women.
