About
I am an Electrical Engineering Masters student at Stanford University and a research assistant in the Geballe Institude for Advanced Materials (GLAM). At the heart of my academic studies and my current research direction is the fascinating fact that many particles can be combined to form a macroscopic system with properties that are incredibly divergent from the properties of the individual constituents. This is characterized by the simple adage "more is different." The principle of emergence is crucial to our understanding of many of the most important technologies of the past century, particular technologies related to the semiconductor industry. It is also key to the next generation of technologies which are actively being developed in research fields such as nanophotonics, quantum materials, and quantum information technology. With both my academic studies and my research, I leverage modern nanofabrication techniques and a modern understanding of quantum materials to drive novel research projects and prepare for a career in applied materials.
