About

I am currently pursuing a PhD at Southern Cross University focusing on volatile organic compounds emitted from corals under heat stress as part of the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP). Thus far, the project has required extensive technical experience with PTR-ToF-MS and the successful planning and execution of field and laboratory experiments. I have additional skills in HPLC, LC-MS, biostatistics, biochemical assays and natural product purification that have been developed over 5+ years of work experience. A dedication to science education is demonstrated through my active volunteer work, most recently with the International Coral Reef Society, where I contribute to blog posts and website design. I'm passionate about coral reefs, science communication and community engagement and hope to integrate these interests into future career endeavors. With strong writing skills and experience in science communication, I am particularly interested in pursuing a role as a scientific editor.
