About

A neuroscientist turned educator, Christine brings systems thinking to school leadership, managing a large, world-class faculty through prioritization of thoughtful onboarding, personalized professional development, and proactive retention. Christine has worked in independent schools for over 17 years, serving Phillips Academy in several capacities for much of that time. She has served on numerous institutional planning committees, held a Tang Institute research fellowship, led a task force on faculty evaluation, and participated in the Head of School career development program, leading to a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from HBS/HGSE. Christine's extensive research experience has helped evolve Andover's science curriculum. She’s embedded opportunities for guided research into core offerings, expanded the reach and impact of Andover's flagship molecular biology research program, and created SYNAPSE - a framework for teaching students how to manage their attention, cognitive load, and stress while engaging in productive struggle. She currently teaches a popular interdisciplinary elective: The Neurobiology of Learning, Memory & Sleep.
