Jara is an award-winning growing international education technology organization that is working towards providing emergency and remote education opportunities through the Jara Unit to displaced children whose education is disrupted due to conflict and/or natural disasters including COVID-19. Pre-Pandemic, 262M children were out of school. In 2020, 1.58B children were out of school with ~800M not having the proper hardware tools at home to continue their education We are creating the Jara Unit, our innovative off-the-grid powered low-cost IoT-enabled education device that can enable a child to learn anywhere, anytime and is a teaching tool for teachers, in low-internet low-power communities where an average tablet or smartphone does not work as an education solution. Jara empowers people to rebuild their communities and continue their education, regardless of their circumstance. Soraya Fouladi is an international entrepreneur, leading a multi-national team to achieve Jara's goals of empowering children in under-resourced communities to receive a quality education anytime, anywhere.
