Yizhi (Bryan) Yuan is a highly-skilled software engineer experienced in various fields - web development, systems engineering, and machine learning. During his bachelor's, he spent 1 year contributing to multiple research projects, and eventually he achieved significant results: a computationally-efficient physics engine in C++ for simulating robotic surgery, as well as a novel Al algorithm that plays Atari games 20% better. Besides his technical excellence, Bryan is also a goal-driven team player: in a non-profit web project called Launchit, not only did he revamped the entire front-end interface, but he also led a team of 10+ developers in Agile development and made feature delivery 2x faster than before. Previously as a Software Engineer at Qualcomm for 1.5 years, Bryan works on improving the automotive camera system and has been the owner of multiple features, including customizable camera orientation. Now at TikTok as a Backend Engineer for almost 2 years, Yizhi has played a crucial role in the Brand Ads team, specifically working on backend infrastructure that supports accurate modeling for advertisers.
