What fuels my commitment to tackling the plastic waste problem - If recycling rates stay below 10%, and plastic demand surpasses 800 million metric tons by 2040 (doubling from today), the accumulation of legacy plastics will become a runaway problem. It is urgent that we curtail this as soon as possible to decrease the accumulation of virgin production while capturing the growing market opportunity.
