About
Former entrepreneur turned venture capitalist as Co-Founder and General Partner at Flybridge Capital (seed stage VC out of Boston and NYC). Teach entrepreneurship and VC at Harvard Business School. Author of Mastering the VC Game and Entering StartUpLand. Love helping great entrepreneurs build disruptive companies and valuable communities in large markets. I've seen the movie a few times as an entrepreneur (Upromise Co-Founder, President/COO, Open Market VP Marketing and Business Development) and enjoy helping others avoid the many mistakes I've made. Civic innovator: co-founded Hack.Diversity (recruiting more engineers of color), GlobalEIR (supporting immigrant entrepreneurs), The Alliance for Business Leadership (progressive business leaders organization), and LEADS (exec ed program for civic and business leaders from gateway cities).
