About

I'm eternally motivated to make the world a better place through deep understanding of the complexity of human psychology and society. I was the co-founder and CTO of Sphere Messenger - a community and knowledge-exchange platform with the mission of bonding people online (rather than polarisation, passive consumption of content and waiting for the next in-person meetup to bond). It was founded with Nick D'Aloisio (young entrepreneur "prodigy" and a really amazing guy ❤️), we raised $30M+ from top-tier VCs and got acquired by Twitter. I integrated the Sphere team into Twitter and co-developed their technical strategy for chat across Communities and DMs products. I previously worked on friend suggestions at Facebook, before that conducted research in Probabilistic Programming and Machine Learning at Oxford. I am a bookworm (topics: psychology, political science, product/engineering), I like learning random new skills to stay creative (ballroom dancing, sailing, piloting, tennis, Russian), I am also friendly (so do come up and talk to me!) and I really want to start my own tech/community-management blog (but keep postponing it).
