About
Hi, I'm Liam I was born in London, grew up in Brooklyn, and now attend school at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. I'm currently a Junior, pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, and I expect to graduate in 2017. I decided to study computer science because I love complex, open-ended, intellectually challenging problem solving. I also love the process of designing and building software in a team. Finally, I'm motivated by the wide range of societal problems that computer science can contribute to framing and solving. These components of my interest in CS lead me to co-found the USC chapter of Code the Change in the fall of 2014. USC Code the Change is a team of computer science, business, and design students that build free software for non-profit organizations. I'm fascinated by the unprecedented amounts of structured and unstructured data being produced everyday around the world. I want to learn as much as I can about how to use software to analyze and interpret this data, and how such analysis can inform solutions to social issues. To this end, I am currently working in the Signal Analysis and Interpretation Lab within the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, using
