About
I am a graduate student at Columbia University studying pure mathematics. I am always interested in intellectually challenging technical projects that involve my mathematical skills. In the past I have worked on automatic transcription of air traffic control conversations, semantic similarity metrics for natural language corpora, automated cell segmentation in microscopy, design and simulation of optical phase masks to generate 3D point spread functions for custom microscope design, data analysis via manifold learning of high-dimensional neural activity datasets extracted from C. elegans. In the ancient past I was interested in computer security and synthetic biology. This summer (2017) I am in the Bay Area. I would say that my core skills are a facility for navigating new subjects, an ability to communicate with people of radically different backgrounds, and with a certain level of mathematical and engineering competence.
