About

My background is in writing. I ran my own non-profit as well as working for other organizations doing grant-writing and development work. Writing in essence is about communication. Effective communicating can lead to conversations and at times even relationships. In my work, I have daily interactions with people who are unhoused, the formerly incarcerated, public health advocates, developers, funders and local politicians. These are individuals who all have a vested stake in their communities and neighborhoods. My goal is to bring these interests together. I was founder and director of an award-winning arts non-profit for 12 years. During that time, I was involved in all aspects of running the organization, including: · Institutional and Individual Fundraising and Writing · Program Design for Arts Education Residencies · Development and Management of Board of Directors · Marketing, Graphic Design of Promotional Materials · Website Design and Maintenance · Proficient in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator I am currently working at Episcopal Community Services, helping to get the unhoused and reentry population get into permanent housing.
