About

I'm a former mechanical engineer who along the way helped develop an invisibility cloak at a startup, analyzed weapons technology at the CIA, helped build the Bay Area's most successful and sought after tech recruiting firm, and served as a partner at Kleiner Perkins. Now I'm fortunate enough to be an investing partner at Coatue, where I get to work with imaginative entrepreneurs and invest my time, capital, and network to help build their ambitious companies. Outside of work, I serve on the board of directors for two non-profits, the San Francisco SPCA ( and Challenge Success ( I'm also a mechanical engineer and plasma physicist by training and you can usually find me in my garage fixing something for my wife.
